Warm and Spicy Shepherd’s Pie

I recently had my 4th annual Thanksgiving tradition with a good friend of mine and every year I have the fun challenge of creating our dinner menu. I say “challenge” because we’ve got to put together a main dish that’s vegetarian (for him) and gluten/grain-free (for me). AND of course it’s got to be made with nourishing, real food ingredients only (no newfangled oils or processed frankenfurky here please!) You know those moments when you want something So.Freakin.Bad. but it feels like it’s just NOT happening?
